Does ClauseLock read my bank account or email?
No. It never asks for bank logins, card numbers, service passwords or inbox access. You add subscriptions yourself, from a list or with the extension.
What does the extension read?
Only the page you are on, and only when you press Check this subscription. It may also read up to three terms pages that page links to on the same site, without your cookies. The full text stays in your browser.
Can ClauseLock cancel a subscription for me?
No. ClauseLock keeps the cancellation link and reminds you. You cancel with the service yourself, then mark it cancelled so ClauseLock can check for an unexpected charge.
Does ClauseLock watch for changes to the terms?
No. It keeps the wording as it was when you saved it, with the date, so you can see what you agreed to. To keep a newer version, check the page again with the extension. Both stay on the subscription.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
Every subscription, quote, change and reminder is deleted, then your sign-in. You can download a copy first from Settings.
Is this legal advice?
No. ClauseLock shows the service’s own wording so you can find it again. The service’s current terms may have changed.
