These terms apply when you use ClauseLock’s website, app, browser extension and emails. By using ClauseLock you agree to them.

What ClauseLock does

ClauseLock records subscriptions and free trials you choose to add, keeps quotes and links from the pages you check, and sends reminders. ClauseLock does not cancel subscriptions, contact companies or banks for you, or handle disputes or refunds.

Not advice

ClauseLock is not legal or financial advice. Quotes show a service’s own wording at the time it was saved; the service’s current terms may be different. Check with the service before making decisions.

Accuracy

Details found on a page can be wrong or incomplete, and a page can change. You review and confirm every detail before it is saved, and you are responsible for the decisions you make.

Reminders

Reminders are a helpful nudge, not a guarantee. Email can be delayed or filtered. Your dates always show in the dashboard, even with email turned off.

Your account

• Keep access to your email secure; it is how you sign in.
• An account is for one person.
• Don’t try to break or overload ClauseLock, get around its security, or access other people’s data.

Prices

ClauseLock has a free plan and a paid plan, ClauseLock Plus. The free plan tracks up to 3 free trials and 5 subscriptions at a time; cancelled records don’t count. Reaching a limit only stops new records: we never remove or lock records you already have. Exporting and deleting your data will always be free.

ClauseLock Plus

• Plus costs $29 USD a year, charged when you buy it and at each yearly renewal. Stripe handles the payment.
• Plus renews automatically each year until you cancel. We email you before each renewal.
• Cancel any time in Settings, under Plan, with Manage billing. Plus stays on until the end of the year you paid for, and you aren’t charged again.
• If you ask within 14 days of buying or of a renewal, we refund that payment in full, no questions asked. Write to support@clauselock.ca. Plus ends when the refund is made.
• If a renewal payment fails, we try again for a few weeks and Plus stays on meanwhile. If it still fails, your account moves to the free plan. Your records are never deleted.
• Deleting your account cancels Plus at once.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend an account that misuses ClauseLock, with notice where reasonable.

Liability

ClauseLock is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for charges, missed cancellations or indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes and governing law

We will update the date above when these terms change and email you about material changes before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
